A truly hydra-lifting procedure

With age, your body starts to produce less collagen and elastin. It means when the cells that give your skin its firmness and structure start shrinking, fine lines and wrinkles appear. Your face starts sagging and losing its volume. Profhilo minimises the root cause of the problem, stimulating collagen production and increasing your skin elasticity. Profhilo is injected below your skin’s surface requiring only two to three sessions, four weeks apart. It disperses quickly and instantly hydrates your skin, eradicates wrinkles and fine lines, and improves facial volume. As a stabilised product, Profhilo lasts in the skin for around 28 days. During this time, the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin occurs by the slow release of HA — resulting in significant tissue improvement creating a more revitalised and youthful look that can last up to six to eight months. You will love the way your skin feels and looks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Profhilo is administered through a fine needle, which makes it more comfortable and somewhat painless than any other injectable treatments. However, we can always apply a numbing cream to help with pain management if you’re concerned.

Yes! The treatment has a low-level inflammatory response, making it safe and effective. Contact us to clarify your doubts.

Profhilo primarily restores the natural Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in the body that decreases with age. The treatment tightens the skin, reduces fine lines, eliminates small wrinkles, improves the tone, and intensely hydrates and rejuvenates the skin.

Side effects are generally mild and temporary. You may experience a little stinging, localised redness and some bumps on the treated area if you have very sensitive skin and subsides shortly afterwards. Maya Aesthetics takes all necessary precautions to ensure the treatment is administered correctly so that it doesn’t result in more severe complications, such as allergic reactions or infections.

This is an ideal treatment for people between 35 to 60 years of age experiencing facial ageing and flaccidity. Profhilo is also an excellent alternative for younger people who want to delay the appearance of the first signs of ageing and improve their skin texture. It’s the ultimate skin pick-me-up for anyone who dreams of a dewy, plumper and generally younger-looking skin. It’s not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and people with diabetes, any autoimmune disease, or a history of herpes.

Profhilo is injected just below your skin’s surface for only two to three sessions that are four weeks apart. The first session stimulates the skin and the second session ensures the longevity of the treatment. You may benefit from a third session, typically eight weeks after your second sitting, depending on your skin quality. Please consult with us to understand more about the course of your treatment.

Generally speaking, Profhilo is formulated with one of the highest concentrations of HA at 64 mg per 2 ml, making it a far more effective option from other treatments, including dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers are injections that usually comprise a naturally occurring and beneficial substance found in our bodies called hyaluronic acid, which helps plump the appearance of lips and smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. On the other hand, Profhilo works to rejuvenate and moisturise your entire appearance rather than localised areas. Dermal fillers are more suitable for someone looking to enhance or modify certain areas of their appearance. Profhilo covers a larger surface area and thus, offers a more extensive function than simply boosting volume. Profhilo can be beneficial for a wide range of skin needs.
